ENERGY

The human body is an energy bank! It has three primary accounts:  a physical account, an emotional account and a life purpose account. Before moving forward, it is important to understand how human energy works.

The physical account is our body.  The currency for this account is sleep, food, and movement. When we get deep restful sleep; eat nutritious, energy packed foods and have days in which we move more than we rest, we are making notable deposits into this account.  Sleep deficits, junk food, overeating, under-eating, prolonged sitting, lack of a basic stretching program and too much time in bed are all withdrawals from our physical account!

Our emotional account is composed of the relationships we have with other people, as well as with ourselves.  The currency of this account is our communication, the integrity we have with our word, and the honor within our actions.  In relationships, language is what we use to either enhance the person we are talking to or to diminish them. Our choice of words, how we say them and our body language as we are communicating are all involved in this process.  It is interesting to know, that in a face to face conversation, in determining the meaning of the message, 7% of this understanding comes from the actual words, 38% comes from our tone and inflection, and the rest comes from our  body language!  Hmmm, look what is missing in a text or a tweet....  Our integrity with what we say has a notable energetic effect.  If we are unable to keep our word, to ourselves or others, then their is a constant drain of our energy manifested as self doubt, loss of self respect, and loss of trust. The energetic effect of our actions is equally important.  Do our actions in a relationship support how we say we feel? This is best explained by thinking about our behaviors in a relationship:  Remembering birthdays, how often we call, helping without being asked, how we treat them in public and private, our level of affection, the power of touch (caress vs a slap), listening or not listening, being there in hard times, supporting or undermining, standing up and defending or remaining silent...  The list is endless. Our honor in this relates to how closely our actions support the relationship. If there is a disconnect, then we are losing vital energy.

Now for the life purpose account,

is one big energy system and like any energy system, there is supply and a demand.                                 An important source of our energy has to do with the environment and the people we choose to surround ourselves with. Learn how to MAXIMIZE what energizes you and Minimize what depletes you.
